[HEC-RAS] How to find a 2D cell ID quickly?

Yes, you are interested in knowing the water depth, water surface elevation, or velocity at a 2D grid point. But what's the cell ID number that I'm looking at? I would open the RAS Mapper and try to select the cell of my interest hoping a right click would pop up the cell ID. Nope! (Note that the RAS version is 5.0.7.)

Both in the Geometric Data window and the RAS Mapper, you can search a cell of a known ID, but not the other way around. Again, you can only search by a cell ID number, and it's not searchable by directly selecting a cell from a map. Well, good news is that the version 6.0 included the functionality to show the cell ID!

You can right click on the cell of interest in the RAS Mapper, and there you can see the cell number. Finally!!
